“For myself I an optimist – it does not seem to be much use being anything else.”
- Winston Churchill
There are two things going on in this quote. It says that optimism is more practical, that you’ll get more done by focusing on opportunity, potential and benefits rather than problems, limits and drawbacks. The great achievements of mankind evolved from dreams, not from criticism. In your life, is pessimism holding you back from being your best. Being an optimist is a choice. He seems to have decided to be hopefuls. This from a man who regularly suffered bouts of depression. What a powerful idea. Optimists aren’t all sunshiny, happy faces, flowers-and-rainbow people. They just have a deep belief I’m the success of their goals and vision. Mo matter what state of mind you’re in, you can choose to look for those growth opportunity and silence that self-defeating voice of doubt.
